BI Expert Live at SAP NetWeaver/BI and Portals 2010

Join us at SAP NetWeaver/BI and Portals 2010 for a new forum, BI Expert Live. This new experience offers attendees the opportunity to meet leading authors from BI Expert, discuss topics from recent articles, and network with peers.

I’ve had the pleasure to meet many of you at our annual business intelligence conference co-produced with SAP. At these conferences, attendees often speak of how much they enjoy the “Ask-the-Expert” sessions in which you can sit down with leading experts for one-on-one conversations.

This year, I am excited to tell you about another option you’ll have at SAP NetWeaver/BI and Portals 2010 — BI Expert Live. These exclusive sessions provide you the opportunity to meet leading authors from BI Expert as you discuss topics from recent articles. In this interactive approach to the articles, you’ll receive the articles to review ahead of the conference. Then, during the session, the authors will briefly discuss the articles — they may even provide additional tips and tricks that were not included in the article. You can then ask the author specific questions so you can apply the information to your business needs.

The great thing about this session is that you’ll also receive feedback from your peers as you discuss the topic. Perhaps you are looking at designing dashboards in Xcelsius. Not only will the author give you some helpful guidelines for this project, the others in the session will be able to share their best practices related to the topic — you gain insight from not just the author, but other participants as well.

The two articles that will be part of BI Expert Live are:

“Accelerate the Creation of Powerful Dashboards in Xcelsius” by Anurag Barua
“Discover the Advantages of Using EvDRE with SAP BusinessObjects Planning and Consolidation” by Anupam Gupta (who is also one of our CRM Expert advisors)

Note that currently these articles require your login and password for the BI Expert knowledgebase. However, these articles will be available to all attendees a little closer to the conference time. Members can get a jump start by taking a peek at them now. Hope to see you there.
